Course Outline
Our international version is an extension of our U.S. Noncompetitive Trading course, covering major derivatives exchanges in Europe. This course builds upon the foundational knowledge covered in our U.S. version and extends its reach to the major international exchanges of Eurex and Euronext. This course covers key topics essential for traders and firm personnel, including Cross Orders, Block Trading, Pre-Arranged Trading, EFRPs, and more.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the MiFID II regulatory framework governing noncompetitive trading activity across European derivatives markets.
- Identify the requirements for block trades and other large transactions.
- Recognize the rules governing Exchange for Physical (EFP) transactions.
- Differentiate between cross trades, block trades, and other request-for-quote (RFQ) system transactions, and determine when each transaction type may be permitted.
- Understand Eurex and Euronext requirements for EFPs, cross trades, price improvement mechanisms, Large-in-Scale and Against Actuals (AA) transactions.
