AML Compliance Reminder: FATF Updated Its Grey List
In its February 2026 Plenary, FATF added Kuwait and Papua New Guinea to its list of Jurisdictions Under Increased Monitoring. The FATF Black List remains unchanged, consisting of North Korea, Iran, and Myanmar.
Compliance teams should review country risk assessments, EDD procedures, and transaction monitoring controls to ensure FATF changes are appropriately reflected in their AML programs.
